How do I restore a Plesk backup safely?

Restoring can overwrite current files, databases, mail, or settings with items of the same name. Changes made after the backup may be lost.

Steps

1. If possible, make a fresh backup of the current state first.
2. Open Websites & Domains, then Backup Manager.
3. Select the backup by its date and time.
4. Choose only the objects you need to restore.
5. Review the restore options and start the restore.
6. Wait for completion, then test the website, database, email, and DNS items you restored.

Ask support before proceeding if you cannot tell which objects will be replaced.
