How do I change my website's PHP version?

Updated 1 hour ago 1 views

Check the application's requirements before changing PHP on a live site.

Steps

  1. Create a current backup.
  2. Open Websites & Domains and select the PHP settings for the domain.
  3. Choose a PHP version supported by the application and its extensions.
  4. Save the change.
  5. Test the public site, sign-in area, forms, scheduled tasks, and payment flow if present.
  6. Switch back to the previous version if the application fails.

Some PHP versions or settings may be restricted by the hosting plan. Upgrade the application before using a PHP release it does not support.
