A database dump stores the database structure and content in a file.
Steps
- Open Websites & Domains, then Databases.
- Find the database and select Export Dump.
- Choose a storage directory.
- Select the option to download the dump automatically if you want a local copy.
- Start the export and keep the downloaded ZIP file somewhere private.
The dump does not include the website files. Back those up separately. Delete server-side dump files when they are no longer needed because they contain site data and count toward disk use.
