About Us

About SmallHost Co.

SmallHost Co. is the hosting arm of Tensai Labs, an Australian software business that builds custom web software.

We provide affordable shared hosting for tinkerers and businesses. This includes personal sites, experiments, business websites, and other projects that fit a shared hosting environment.

Hosting backed by software experience

Our background is in building web applications, not only operating hosting accounts. Through Tensai Labs, we work with SaaS platforms, internal tools, APIs, integrations, business automations, and subscription systems.

That experience shapes how we approach hosting. We understand the applications, databases, payment services, and third-party systems that often sit behind a website. When a problem reaches beyond an ordinary hosting setting, we can look at it with the context of people who build and maintain web software.

Part of Tensai Labs

SmallHost keeps the hosting side of the business focused on accessible shared hosting. Tensai Labs handles custom software projects for organisations that need something designed or built for their particular workflow.
